Spring Show 2022

Froxfield and Privett Garden Club welcomed members and visitors to their Spring Show at Privett Village Hall on 26th March.    The spring weather enabled visitors to the show to take tea outside as well enjoying the exhibits.

The number of entries was good with a large display of daffodils.   The classes for three long trumpet all yellow daffodils and a single yellow daffodil were particularly popular.   The non daffodil flower classes showed a wide variety of other spring flowers including two well supported classes for hellebores.

In the flower arranging classes, the miniature arrangement in a jug generated the most entries with the winner of this class being awarded the trophy for the best arrangement in the show.

The cookery and photography classes were well supported with a large number of photographs of Clouds.

The Show also included entries from Froxfield Primary School of pictures of My Special People, whilst Froxfield PreSchool drew pictures of mint and daffodils representing Growth and Change.    The Privett Nursery provided colourful pictures of daffodils made from recycled materials.

Chairman Sue Kinlochan thanked the committee for the organisation of the show, whilst Show Secretary Christine Stephens thanked members and villagers for their contributions and congratulated them on the high standard of the entries.
